I’ve edited three books: two on Benjamin Britten, one (co-edited) on Elizabeth Maconchy.
Chapters
I’ve written chapters on Britten for several publications. I’ve also written on the relationship between Britten and Bridge for a forthcoming volumes of essays.
I’ve written notes for many concerts, covering a huge range of genres and eras. I regularly write CD liner essays for such imaginative and beautiful albums as A Short Story of Falling (Delphian, 2025).

A collection of essays representing a wide range of Britten scholarship, including perspectives outside of Anglo-American scholarship. Published by Boydell and Brewer.

The story of Britten’s life told through photographs, paintings, and archival materials. Published by Boydell and Brewer in 2012 in advance of Britten’s centenary year in 2013.

A comprehensive series of studies on the twentieth-century composer Elizabeth Maconchy. Published by CUP in 2026.
Programme Notes
